Have you ever fancied trying your hand at skiing, gorge walking, rock climbing (both indoors and outdoors), abseiling or even white water rafting. If you love trying new things or just enjoy spending time outdoors then Adventure Training will be for you!
As a recognized Military Youth Organisation we are able to offer our cadets unique and challenging experiences, the likes of which they would struggle to undertake outside of the ATC. We run a number of Adventure Training activities both on our own as a squadron, and while away on one of our many wing camps.
Adventure Training is an integral part of what we do, which is why we try to give our cadets as many opportunities to take part as possible. We try to make sure all of our cadets try something new every year, and test their skills in as many activities as possible. All of these events are supervised by qualified and experienced instructors, giving our cadets the best possible experience we can offer.
Capel Curig, a camp like no other! Every year we offer all our cadets the chance to spend a week in Wales dedicated to Adventure Training. For all those in attendance you can expect to participate in mountain biking, outdoor rock climbing up a sheer rock face, white water rafting, kayaking / canoeing, archery, abseiling, gorge walking and caving. The camp is designed to get all cadets out of their comfort zone, putting their skills and knowledge to the test.
